Description
A mother mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) holds her baby tight in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Uganda. We had trekked for some hours to catch up with the habituated troop and were rewarded with the opportunity to capture some intimate moments. I converted the image to black and white to emphasise both the power and the gentleness of these amazing animals.
