Description
This multiple exposure is part of my ongoing personal project, which studies “silence” as something that can becomes a significant part of a person’s body, mind and everyday existence. The image explores the normalisation of silence: the point at which something initially imposed from outside is gradually absorbed and became part of the way a person exists. The translucent material acts as both physical covering and metaphorical barrier, while the hand visible beneath it suggests an attempt to reach beyond that containment. The restrained expression and direct gaze contrast with the sense of restriction created by the wrapping. Protective packaging foam was used to wrap the body. The multiple-exposure layers are made from ICM textures and abstract canvas textures, both created by me.
