Wedding
The Cliff Hotel, Cardigan, West Wales

Caryl and Jack celebrated their wedding at The Cliff Hotel in Cardigan, West Wales, in July 2026. Perched dramatically on the edge of the cliffs, the hotel overlooks Cardigan Bay and the Teifi Estuary, with a spectacular seascape stretching out beyond it. Yet, for much of the day before their wedding, and throughout the morning itself, the view was almost completely hidden beneath a thick sea mist. Visibility was incredibly limited, and it seemed the dramatic coastline might never make an appearance. Thankfully, almost as if on cue, the mist began to lift just as Caryl and Jack shared their first kiss. By the time we reached golden hour, the clouds had cleared and the sunset was everything we could have hoped for. We took a short walk from the hotel towards the cliff edge, where I found a natural viewpoint with a deep crevice separating me from the couple. Standing on the opposite peninsula, I was able to capture this image with the dramatic coastline stretching behind them — a moment that felt all the more special after the day had begun beneath a blanket of mist.
