My grandmother, Alice, turned 101 this year. A century of living cannot be contained in a single photograph, but perhaps a photograph can hold a small trace of what time leaves behind. Alice, this portrait is my acknowledgment and my thank you: you were here, you were seen, and you were deeply loved.
