* I entered a cropped portrait version of this image in the 2024 competition, but I had to pull it because it had been selected for a popular Countryside calendar. This year, their rights to the image expired, so I decided to give it another go! A ewe and her two lambs crest the hill in the warm evening light, with one lamb caught mid-air in a moment of pure joy. A fleeting glimpse of springtime energy and new life in the countryside.
