There are lots of tiny spiders in my back garden like this crab spider, and I love photographing them. I bring them into the conservatory so there is no wind, light them with my LED panels, and focus bracket them with my OM-1 and 90mm lens at f/3.5, and a 2x teleconverter for extra magnification. I then return them to the spot where I found them. This spider on was on an osteospermum leaf, which the high magnification revealed to be a wonderful alien landscape of translucent hairs. I love the way the spider appears to be dancing on this strange stage, and how it still has a small piece of its last meal in its claw.
