Sony ILCE-7M3 - Sigma 40mm DG F1.4 Art
Having wanted to shoot the milkyway aligned with this tower for sometime, I figured having recently purchasing a new camera and new lens that the time was right. The aim was to shoot the tower and land with my new Sony A7V and the sigma 40mm art lens Unfortunately having arrived , upon opening my bag I quickly realised that my camera was on, overheated and battery depleted. Decided to leave this body to cool down and shot everything with the Sony A73 instead, this body is astro modified for better night sky images but gives a slight pink cast to images. I had also forgotten to take my intervalometer which limited me to 30 second exposures on the Sony I shot the landscape at 40mm - F4.5 - 30 seconds - iso 6400 I placed a small light on low brighness to cast some warm light inside the tower. I then used a tracker to shoot 29 images of the sky at 40mm - F1.4 - 30 seconds - iso 1600 These sky shots were stacked in photoshop to remove noise and then blended with the foreground to create the final images with some colour and contrast tweaks.
