The huge sand dunes of the Namib desert in Namibia make fantastic subjects to photograph. I was especially taken with this example - the lines of the huge dune twisting in the background, with the lone tree in the foreground giving a sense of scale. I took this photo in the late afternoon, with the setting sun casting shadows on one side of the dune. This photo was taken from the roadside, using my telephoto lens to make the tree appear bigger.
