Description
In a landscape that seems to stretch endlessly into the horizon, one small life holds the frame. I waited in silence for this Fennec Fox to emerge against the sweeping dunes as we watched it traversing them, its tiny outline dwarfed by the vastness of the Saharan dunes in the late morning sun. The desert can feel empty at first glance, but this wait reveals that it is anything but. In this moment, the sheer scale of the dune became the story, a saharan specialist moving through an ocean of sand, perfectly adapted to a world shaped by wind and heat.
