Description
While travelling in Florida, I took advantage of a bright, overcast day to create this clean, high-key shot. An osprey had perched atop one of the evenly spaced posts along a bridge structure, scanning the surrounding water. By exposing for the bird and letting the pale sky blow out completely, I turned the man-made poles into a graphic, repeating pattern. The minimalist approach strips away all environmental clutter, leaving a simple, graphic portrait of the bird using human infrastructure as a vantage point. 367mm, 1/1000s, f4.5, ISO 1600
