have used Canon markIII , head flash bowens 750w, lateral black backgrops and a reflector for the chin to fill the light. The silver umbrella (1m 20cm) at 45 degrees, Rembrandt stile or frontal. These are the two ideas with dramatic shadows or big beauty.
COVID19 SITUATION Concept I prepared a face photograph inside the studio. In the background, I wrote words that have to do with COVID-19. There are technical words, medical terms, and words used by the media (TV, press and radio) once and again. The information that these words transmitted has impacted the lives of the people. In my experience, we were daily exposed to information and misinformation by the media, and I want to criticise this exposure. This makes me realize that we need to act as a filter, and we need to decide if this situation affects us or not. I chose to paint my face because body painting is an ancestral act for rituals and magical and shamanic acts. That is why, I wrote on my face the words that represent my experience, the ones that helped me the most. Experience and message I have the intention to open myself and inviting others to do a reflection about what is really going on. There is no vanity involve, just the intention to transmit a message. I also want to express my pain about how a virus was able to collapse the World, about the death of so many people and the lack of reliable information. Inspiration and references I found my references and inspiration in cinema and photography. A great reference has been Peter Greenaway, nevertheless, I found good references in Annie Lebovitz and Platon. • These images are part of a Peters Greenaway’s film, we can see visual poetry and drama. , • This Platon’s portrait is direct and honest. • In this portrait taken by Annie Lebovitz we can see Keith Haring blending in with his work as if he was part of one of his paintings. This is the portrait of a contemporary poet, for which he wrote a poem of his on his face. I wanted to used black &. white because of this situation to me took out the joy of our lives. So, I used the lack of colours as a metaphor of unhappy mood Moreover, I wanted to evoke the essence of The Punk movement of the 70s.
