Description

Inspired by my late father’s favourite foods whilst he was unwell and I was caring for him. Elements of the picture that might seem immaterial have special meaning to me, such as the table fabric is similar to a shirt he used to wear, and the Brexit newspaper (he would discuss Brexit but unfortunately never lived to see it.) Despite enjoying a wide variety of food during his life, my father's taste regressed to foods from his childhood in the months before he died. Favourites included; baked apples, fish and chips and of course, beans on toast.
