Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.

Each morning the scarlet macaws make their way down the beaches of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica to feed on the beach almond trees (Terminalia catappa). I had spotted a lone macaw perched on this dead tree one morning and figured at least one of the passing macaws would land on it too. In the space of 5 minutes, 3 more birds had come to perch with the final one disrupting the others as it attempted to make room for itself. 1/1250, f5.6, ISO 800 at 400mm
