Northern Ireland Landscape Photography Competition

Our aim with this photo competition is to showcase Northern Ireland at its finest and document things as they are. We gladly accept both urban and rural vistas and encourage novel perspectives, original outlooks and fresh re-imaginations of classic images. This is your chance to show people exactly how beautiful Northern Ireland can be.

Northern Ireland Street Photography Competition

With so much urbanisation on our collection of islands, it is vital to embrace the possible beauty and rich variety of Northern Ireland street photography. From rural country high streets to the shady alleys of our great metropolises - demonstrate both a passion and vision in your work. Should your county be dominated by cityscapes, or more rustic settlements, try and make your photography stand out from the crowd in this country-wide photography competition.

Northern Ireland Portraits of the People Photography Competition

Where would we be without our multicultural and all-embracing society? This photo competition is an opportunity to share your most powerful portraits and capture the essence of what it means to be resident in Northern Ireland. We want a huge variety of subjects, lighting choices and interesting situations as we delve into an investigation of the people that make Northern Ireland so great.

Northern Ireland Macro Photography Competition

Anything and everything in miniature. This photography competition is geared towards seeking the small details in Northern Ireland. If small is indeed beautiful then in this category we want to showcase the often overlooked intricate details that make up our every day life. From insects straddling water droplets to miniature toy figurines in obscure settings, this is macro at it's finest.

Northern Ireland Pets Photography Competition

Life in Northern Ireland would be far less colourful without our faithful pets. This competition is aimed at honouring the special place that our faithful friends have in our lives. Show us the character of those animals closest to your heart. That said, in line with the responsible and ethically-centred nature of this competition, the BPA will not accept pictures of exotic pets into the competition. The exotic pet market is often fuelled by greed, neglect and profit-led breeding. Furthermore, it causes huge global detriment to our biodiversity and habitat protection year on year. The judges hope that their position is understood and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
