'Bye Trout Pals' - Keith Thorburn - In Support of The Wildlife Trusts
"This is one of these encounters that I wanted to see never mind try and photograph it, to witness one of natures marvels the Osprey diving for a fish to feed its family, had the hair on the back of my neck standing to attention. Then I wanted to capture the moment as best I could without panicking so that I got the Image as sharp as I could, trying to keep the focus point on the eyes when your adrenalin is high and the Osprey is moving at speed takes a bit of luck and accuracy. Rothiemmurchus Fishries, Avienore, Scotland."
'Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo)' - Ben Andrew - In Support Of The Wildlife Trusts
"I took this photo from East India Dock in the Canary Wharf area of London, UK. This particular cormorant had chosen to spend some time roosting on a light which meant it was perfectly in line with the O2 Arena (formerly the Millennium Dome) and it's famous large yellow posts that extend from the roof. As it was an overcast day I overexposed and created this high key image with the black Cormorant standing out in front of the white dome and white sky. These birds have now colonised much of London and can be found up and down the River Thames making use of the clean water and abundant fish."
